Hello life changers, aspiring life changers, curious life livers, and of course, all you skeptics too. Welcome back, or welcome to season two of Life Changing with Dori Fern. It has been a while. So just to recap quickly, season one, I chronicled the whole messy middle of my life-changing year off

And my goal when I left my previous marketing job to start this Gap Year thing was to find my purpose. This probably sounds familiar to some of you. And the secret I learned is figuring out, wait for it, how to be happy and find ease with what is and where you're at now and not always looking for something else.

That being said, I did do something else. I got my coaching certification. And at the same time, I went back to work at a marketing job at a pharma company, not completely unlike things I've done before. Great team, interesting opportunity, nice paycheck, all told, the past few years has been lovely.

It will probably surprise no one who has listened that I'm coaching people ready to make a big change so that they too are confident in their transition, that they're using their time well, they're planning right, they're being productive, and they can, you know, achieve their goals. You can visit my website, doryferne .com, for more on that. So this season, I'll be changing things up a bit.

I want to talk with people who have changed my life in big and small ways. People I've worked with, danced with, lived next door to, shared experiences with, people of different ages, backgrounds. So here's why I want to do that. I have this picture in my mind, that of us, as these singular creatures nested inside, like, matryoshka doll layers of community and influence: our families, where we're from, where we live now, our cultures, passions and hobbies, friends and professional groups. And I'm really curious how those kernels connect us and alter us.

I'm so happy to have you along for this ride. Yes. And if you like what you hear, I would be so grateful if you would follow this podcast and give it a five star rating and review on Apple, Spotify, or wherever you listen that lets you rate and review. It really helps. I'll be back soon with a new episode featuring my interview with food writer Nicole Taylor. We'll talk about, among many things, what it means to be an outsider. Or at least, to feel like one.
